Last big event...

It is weird...
We are doing all of the end of the year activities but it doesn't "feel" like the end of the year...
I blame it on the weather...

Yesterday was the school picnic and the yearbooks were handed out...
Which means the kids had a "school day" which involved no schooling and they now have yearbooks in their possession so they will no longer pay any attention to you in class because they have to sign so and so's yearbook...
The joys of teaching at the end of the school year...
At least the weather is cooperating...

Yes, I said it, in this situation, the one where you have to teach teenagers in a confined space in the afternoon, I'm actually grateful for the cool wet spring...
You try teaching about the Middle East when everyone has spring fever and its 80 outside!

So as SA sponsor we had our last big event yesterday...
It was a success and I'm so glad to not have any banquets, festivals, talent shows, spirit days, etc looming in my immediate future...

Here are some shots from the day...

Who can make the fastest human pyramid and hold it for 3 seconds....
 Three legged races...
Soccer, with large hamster balls added for fun...
 Hamsters balls...
Add one teenager and air and have hours of fun...
The possibilities are endless...
 Rolling over people...
Having people jump on top of you...

Hamster ball sandwich...

And of course the classic tug-of-war...
While it wasn't hot or particularly sunny...
it didn't rain and it wasn't freezing so I was happy...

Spring Picnic 2011 in the books...
